Intensive In-Home Services
Our Intensive In-Home services can be provided to young people in the home, in the community or in our offices. Designed to help families prevent out-of-home placements and/or inpatient hospitalizations, these outpatient mental health services are available for Medicaid-eligible children and adolescents who are experiencing ongoing behavioral and emotional problems.
The Intensive In-Home method is designed to concentrate on behaviors where they take place — in the home, in the community or in school. Services include:
- Case management
- Individual and family therapy
- Therapeutic foster care
These services can assist in improving specific behaviors and increasing overall family functioning. Children and adolescents participating in one or more in-home services are automatically included in Uspiritus’ groundbreaking continuum of care, including access to outpatient psychiatry.
With our innovative “step up/step down” program, children can be reached before they require residential services, and can be provided with counseling after having transitioned out of a residential program. And, because each child and adolescent we serve is matched with his or her own case manager, the at-risk child will never feel alone or uninformed.
- Targeted case management services: Our case managers connect vital community mental health services, individual providers and resources for the family for a wrap-around approach to caring.
- Individual therapy: Clinicians provide personalized therapy that addresses a wide variety of behavioral and emotional problems, including trauma, conduct disorders, hyperactivity, depression, school-related issues, and grief and loss.
