IMPACT Plus is now Intensive In-Home Services
We have had lots of exciting change going on in the Community Based Department! As many of you know, the Medicaid world is changing dramatically in Kentucky. The array of services offered to adults and children in the Commonwealth have been greatly expanded and more people have access to services than ever before. We hope that this will create more stability and increase prevention, which will make for better long-term outcomes for kids and families.
One important change is that the program previously called IMPACT Plus will no longer be in effect after Oct. 1, 2014. However, the services that have traditionally been available through the program (Therapy, Case Management, Therapeutic Child Support) will still be available to families across the Commonwealth that are enrolled in Medicaid. In fact, more children will have access to a wider array of services than in the past. There is still a great deal of confusion across agencies, providers, MCOs and families about this change, so please bear with us as we learn about the changes and get new programs and processes in place. We are very excited about the opportunities to grow Community Based Services with Uspiritus with the expansion of services across Kentucky. What was known as IMPACT Plus is now known as Intensive In-Home Services at Uspiritus.
